DOCUMENT OF UNDERSTANDING FOR PRESENTERS
This outlines our guidelines for presenters and what you can expect from our club in the way of support.
OWEC: We will support you in the following manner:
- Supply crackers, cheese, pate and fruit beautifully presented at each table along with spitters and stems
- Draw names for 4 names from attending members that evening, to be pourers in assisting the presenter
- We ask you to supply a list of the wines you will be presenting and a small description of your company, in order to advertise your products in advance of your presentation on our website which is currently reaching approximately 1400 visitors a month
- Provide a microphone and screen for your use in case of a slide show presentation
- We ask that you arrive close to 6.30pm (if possible) in order to set up. We are there at 6.00pm. to help in case you need assistance opening your reds. We have ice on hand to chill the whites.
PRESENTERS:
- Presenter supplies six varieties, usually 3 whites and 3 reds. We leave that up to your discretion
- Please supply your list and your company description as close to the beginning of your month of presentation as possible in order to advertise you to full advantage on our web site. Please email to us at oakvillewine@gmail.com
- Please provide a minimum of 100 order forms which list the wines and prices of the wines being tasted
- Choose a $50 bottle of wine (which we purchase from you) for our raffle prize
- Supply items such as T-shirts, corkscrews, bottle openers etc advertising your company, as raffle prizes
- Presenters are encouraged to pour the first wine as soon as possible upon the start of the event
- After each pouring and discussion about the wine, time should be given for members to talk amongst themselves
