Sunday, October 5th, 2008 was a gorgeous and warm fall day for our bus tour of four Niagara area wineries.

Our first stop was Kacaba Vineyards where Dave Servos, the manager, gave us a brief tour and description of the winemaking process including a visit to the barrel and tank room. Then it was on to the beautiful sunroom to taste four specially selected wines.

Next we went to Stonechurch Vineyards for an extensive lunch and tasting of four more wines.

Our third stop was at Maleta Estate Winery where Daniel Pambianchi delighted us with his sparkling wine to begin the tasting and then a vertical tasting which also included a delicious addition of chocolate covered cherries to finish.

Our last stop was the beautiful grounds of Angels Gate Winery with a breathtaking view across Lake Ontario.  Again the tasting included four specially selected wines.

Quotes from participants & contacts at the wineries.

Thank you for taking the time to arrange a lovely day for us.    The opportunity to taste the wines and drive through the countryside was very enjoyable.....We appreciate the time it took to organize this....Well worth it.

I want to thank you so much for organizing today's activities.  It was a wonderful outing.  My guests have just left and were very impressed with the variety and quality of wines offered.  We all had a great time. Well done!

We really appreciated and enjoyed your visit. It’s a fun group and I wish I could have spent more time with your group. In any case, I trust you all had a good time and that you have learnt something out of the vertical tasting. We hope to see you again
