Broken Stone Winery is a small, family-owned vineyard nestled in the unique island microclimate of Prince Edward County, Ontario, at the east end of Lake Ontario. The vineyard is defined by its ancient glacial till soil, known as Hillier Clay Loam, densely strewn with limestone fragments that give the winery its name. By pairing this distinctive, rocky terroir with a climate of hot summer days and cool nights, the winery successfully crafts elegant, mineral-driven Chardonnay and Pinot Noir of world-class quality.

January 30th Tasting - London Born Wine CO.

Situated on the Niagara Escarpment, atop the Beamsville Bench, London Born offers tasting and educational tours of the winemaking process. With sustainability in mind, the winery incorporates many energy-saving features, including passive solar heating and a green roof. Their varieties are Gamay, Cabernet Franc and Riesling. We have kept the existing 50+ year-old Marechal Foch vines with their small crop of grapes; the care given to these vines produces an intensely flavoured, satisfying, full-bodied wine.

October 24th Tasting - Vineland Estates Winery

 

Nestled on the slope of the Niagara Escarpment, Vineland Estates Winery and its signature restaurant are one of the most memorable stops on the wine route. Besides our store and tasting bar that reside within our circa 1877 “wooden cathedral” log barn, you can also visit our acclaimed “Top Twenty Winery Restaurant in the World” for true local cuisine. Chef George and his passionate team present all that is fine, local and fresh. Our winemaker, Brian, celebrates nearly 30 years of devotion to this 180-acre parcel, featuring world-renowned Cabernet Franc, expressive Riesling, rare Pinot Meunier, and memorable Chardonnay.
