Conte di Castignano - 2010 Torre al Sasso, Chianti DOCG  $16.95

Deep ruby red with ruby reflexes. It shows appealing aromas of violet and small berries, cherry and strawberry above all, with hints of spices. It has a medium body and a very good balance, with velvety tannins and a pleasant acidity. The finish is quite long and slightly sweet. While very pleasant by itself, it matches well with cold cuts or shortly aged cheese. For its good acidity and tannins it is also a good pair with pasta with beef sauce; chicken, fried or roasted and roasted pork.
Drink now / lay down for 4-6 years.
